As Duran expresses, US President George W. Bush’s activity surrounding his authorization of wiretaps by the NSA was illegal, and US citizens should write to their Congressmen and Senators to demand an investigation. cryptome.org has an excellent message about this issue.
I urge all readers of this site who are US citizens to write their Congressmen and Senators and express outrage over these illegal actions by the President of the United States of America. Demand inquiries, demand investigations, and if those inquiries and investigations reveal wrongdoing, demand impeachment.
Wayne Gretzky’s mother Phyllis died Monday at the age of 64. I can’t remember another time when a hockey player’s family illness was in the news, other than when Wayne’s dad Walter had a stroke a few years ago.
If anybody has any sort of doubt on the impact Wayne Gretzky had on the Canadian landscape, this should show just how big that impact was. His wedding was a huge event in Canada, his father’s stroke was major news, and his mother’s death will be big news as well, unfortunately.
Best wishes to the entire Gretzky family, even though I know none of them will read this. :-)
And here I thought the big news in F1 this week was going to be Super Aguri racing in 2006. But no, Alonso scoops the headlines and signs with McLaren for the 2007 season.
