While the rest of Canada went gaga for Stephen Harper, his party’s influence in BC dropped. Choice statistics: “Roughly 60 percent of British Columbians believe Harper is a scary extremist” and “B.C. is more left wing than anywhere else in Canada outside Quebec.” Awesome.

Make My Vote Count has an interesting short quiz. They make it sound like Canada’s got an unstable government but it doesn’t, really. Still, given the Bloc got 10% of the national popular vote and 50 seats and the Green Party got 5% and 0 seats, it would be really nice to see First Past The Post get the boot.
