Today’s installation of Bad Baby Names almost goes perfect. Alas, the illusion of perfection was broken by an illusion. Elluzion, to be exact. Poor kid’s going to go through life always forgetting how to spell illusion. Or Elluzion. Either way it’s a tragedy.
The hitting streak starts off with Keyz. I don’t know why someone would want to name their kid after something they lose all the time. Perhaps it’s foresight? “Honey, have you seen Keyz?” “Yeah, they’re on the table beside the door.” “No, not the keys, Keyz!” I think Abbott and Costello scrapped this one in favour of “Who’s On First“.
Next, someone influenced by Rocky. I think they wanted to name their kid after Adrian, but had a boy instead. And they put the ‘yo’ at the wrong end, so instead of getting “Yoadrian” they had to settle for Antonyo. Dude’s second name might help push our Y-streak to six, if second names are allowed: Valentyno.
Batting cleanup, we’ve got Rhyder. Sad.
And given it’s early here and I’ve run out of material, the last two names (making today a five-for-six Y hitting streak) are Jaycin and Jaylyn.
Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go brush my tyyth and get some coffyy.

I used to work for a lawyer who had a theory that bad baby names came from underaged parents who named their babies as if it was a new kitten. He had a 14 year old client who named her daughter Gypsy Princess.
I love your list; keep it up! Education is the best way to prevent the spread of bad baby names.

[...] Espn! With 11 of 41 votes, Espn beat out Skailey by a scant three votes. Amazingly enough, both Keyz and Ryllei received zero votes, so they get a special designation of Bad Bad Baby Names. [...]
