Bad Baby Names: Attack Of The Ys.

This week’s Bad Baby Names is rife with misspellings, push-togethers, and just plain bad names. It kicks off with this week’s winner of the A Man, A Plan, A Canal: Panama Award: Zaibiaz. It’s unique, it’s palindromic, and it’s bad.

Next up is Attack Of The Ys: Kiralyn and Shailyn are the soldiers on the ground, but commanding them all is Destinylyn, who has not only received a Medal of Dishonour for Unmerytoryous Conduct, but also received the Medal of Disdistinction for Hypenation Without Hyphens.

Madden was unfortunately named after John Madden, I’m sure. My wife tells me that Madden is one of those really bad late 90s names. I asked her why it didn’t stay in the late 90s. She said that there are a lot of really stupid parents out there still.

But winning this week’s Baddest Baby Name Award is Ryllei. Poor kid. Stupid parents.

Madden is the English version of the Irish Ó Madaidhín (meaning Male/Manly), derived from Gaelic maduinn meaning “Morning Wolf”; thus a great traditional Irish name , though I am not sure if it could catch on in the US

[...] Espn! With 11 of 41 votes, Espn beat out Skailey by a scant three votes. Amazingly enough, both Keyz and Ryllei received zero votes, so they get a special designation of Bad Bad Baby Names. [...]
