Just in case a hurricane wasn’t enough, we just had an earthquake. A sharp jolt, not too long, but various books and computers fell over, pictures are askew, etc.

Update: The earthquake map shows a big red square. Can’t get any further than that right now, the site appears to be getting hammered.
Update: 5.3 magnitude down at the volcano.

Looks like Hawaii was spared the full brunt of the storm, thank goodness!
Hopefully DEAN won’t do too much damage to our friends in the Caribbean.
