And I have no doubt that my comment will not pass moderation. So here is a revised version of the comment I posted just now:

Wow. I was on a good one the last time i posted here. In any case let me clear up a thing or two. You gays want the right to marry and be recognized as married couples by the law?
Genesis – 2

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

23 And Adam said:

She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”
24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his WIFE, and they shall become one flesh.

Note line 24. Now there is no doubt that this is a Holy Union. However the very act of same sex relations is denounced by the same book (i do not care to reference it now). Thereby making the whole idea of Gay Marriage a HIPOCRICY. I myself am not religious in any sense of the word. I only use the Bible to illustrate the idiocy of this whole thing. I am all about progressive society except where this issue is concerned. And of course you idiots back the pro choice movement because you DENY your instincts to reproduce on your own. Well I was adopted and thank my maker daily that my mom did not murder me before I could speak or breathe or anything.

The whole issue is just so another group that wants so called equality whilst segregating themselves and setting themselves apart (ie. flamboyant behavior, a made up lisp etc..) can holler Discrimination. I love my wife and would do so with or without marriage (which we did for her sake btw b4 you start bitching). Anyway enough of my ramblings for now.

Civil Unions are legal in Cali…..Some of us agnostists do not believe in allowing a small percentage of the population being able to persecute the religious communities and open them up for law suits for not performing gay weddings!! You guys need to have tolenence towards religion and a open mind regarding freedom! It is always funny to see when the intolerant left goes on a rampage…I am for civil unions and the freedom of religious beliefs.

And if the thought of death is so repulsive to gays, why are they so supportive of those who want to murder unborn children? I know – someone will reply and claim that Jesus never talked about homosexuality. And he never talked about kidnapping – but does anyone think he approved of it? His positive statement that marriage is only between a man and a woman logically cancels out same-sex marriage, or marriage with an animal or inanimate object or anything else that twisteroos can think up. As the Bible also predicts, many folks will have to learn things the hard, screaming way. Speaking of SF, one of these days their underground saint – San Andreas – is bound to get a big jolt out of all the faults of SF’s God-hating leaders!

2.) the bible as a source of any form of authority? Chris has that one covered, and geoff can comment on it nicely if he chose too. for my part, i will admit it as a source of belief guidance at best; but as a student of philosophy i will continue to argue against it as a source of anything approaching truth.

I don’t think my marriage, although it is between a man and a woman could really be described as holy. And I certainly would never have gotten married in a church.

But just for you Michael I’ll do a quick check around the house for angels hiding in closets and glowing symbols of Christ on the walls. Maybe it is holy….
