I’m going to be switching around my WordPress installation in a few minutes. I know not many of you read this, and an outage of a few minutes will probably go unnoticed, but I thought I’d throw up a warning anyhow.
For those who care, I’m switching from tarballs / standard installation to using Subversion. Thus I’ll be able to update easier in the future (I hope).

I will be on the edge of my seat, gripping my mouse in white-knuckled anticipation of the moment when the site comes back up.
In all seriousness, I’ve been doing the Subversion thing for a while, and it’s pretty awesome.

Yeah, I just need to sort out which plugins need copying over. I have to say, the prospects of just doing ‘svn switch blah’ are appealing.

I switched to using svn a while back for our blog, and it makes upgrading nice and easy. Hopefully your experience will be the same.

Huh, that commenting was weird. Let’s try that again.

I guess maybe I shouldn’t accidentally double-click the ‘submit’ button.
