Happy Darwin Day!
Today is, of course, the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin. Along with the interesting and informative stories at that page comes The Evolution of Life in 60 Seconds:
When you compress 4.6 billion years into 60 seconds, it’s not only obvious how much time evolution has had to work, but obvious how short our time on Earth has been.
The Blame Game.
We’re going to play a little game here. Let’s see how many different things we can find that have been blamed for yesterday’s Virginia Tech shooting.
Pakistani Muslims. Atheism and evolution. Video games. Video games. Not enough guns. Not enough gun control. Stageplays. Racial hatred. Girlfriends. “Rich kids,” “debauchery” and “deceitful charlatans.”
I put this out as a challenge to my users. Spread this post far and wide so we can collect as many pointing fingers as possible. 20? 50? 100?

…and not the computer kind. I need to get one of those pieces of fruit so I can participate in this:
In a nutshell, this guy’s going to make an animation made up of pictures of people holding either an apple or a lightbulb. Apple if you’re a dirty savage who believes in evolution, lightbulb if you’re a god-fearing religious nut who believes in creationism. As he says in the video, anybody can participate and the more the merrier.
